"ON-LINE" brand blades Challenger series
MEET THE NEW "ONLINE CHALLENGER" SERIES SCROLL SAW BLADES.
These new 5" plain end scroll saw blades are very similar to the TLB (Tough Little Blades) without reverse teeth and the Olson regular Scroll Fret blades, also identified as "skip tooth" blades. The big difference is that the TLB and Scroll/Fret blades typically have approximately 3" to 3.25" of "tooth surface area" or cutting area and our Challenger series have 4.5" of tooth surface area for cutting thicker stock.
NOTE: Cutting stock thicker than 1-3/4" is a very different and challenging process requiring experience and almost perfect conditions, ie. high blade tension, less dense wood, good quality kiln dried wood, less distinct grain, very slow feet rate, etc. - but the end result can be very gratifying with the Challenger blades. GIVE IT A TRY!
